The $10 Box & Handling Fee is charged per box, not per coral. It covers the insulated box, heat or ice packs and the time it takes to pack live coral safely. UPS Next Day Air is one flat livestock shipping charge per order, the carrier cost of getting it out of Key West alive. A box typically holds around five small frags, so adding compatible corals to the same shipment usually will not add another box fee or change the shipping charge. Larger colonies, species that cannot share water, or extreme weather can require a second box. Orders with $349 or more in qualifying livestock ship free.

Description

This is one of the most visually striking plate corals we have ever offered. The contrast between the neon green and hot pink is jaw-dropping — a truly rare color combination that makes this piece an instant centerpiece in any reef display.

Plate corals are unique in the LPS world — they are free-living, meaning they are not attached to rock and can actually move across the sandbed on their own. They are surprisingly hardy, easy to keep, and one of the most rewarding corals to target feed. This Conditioned in our Key West systems specimen has been grown right here at our Florida Keys facility and is confirmed healthy, fully extended, and actively feeding before being offered for sale.

Care Guide
Plate corals are free-living LPS that sit directly on the sand bed rather than attaching to rock. They prefer moderate lighting and gentle flow, and will inflate their tissue substantially during the day to capture light and food. Target-feed meaty foods weekly for best coloration and growth, and keep them clear of sediment buildup.

Placement: Open sandbed — this is a free-living coral and should not be glued down.
