Description
The Cloudberry Chalice earns its name — a dense field of golden-honey polyps scattered like ripe cloudberries across a rich teal-and-crimson base. Under blue LEDs the gold eyes glow against the darker body for a jewel-box effect few chalices can match.
These frags are aquacultured and cut from our own thriving mother colony — the photo shows the mother colony, and your frag will carry the same striking coloration. Aquacultured pieces are hardier and better adapted to aquarium life than wild imports.
Care Guide
Chalice coral is a highly prized LPS known for its intricate, often iridescent patterning and plating growth form. It prefers low to moderate, indirect lighting — direct intense light can bleach its coloration — along with gentle flow, and benefits from occasional feeding to maintain its vivid coloration.
- Care level: Easy to moderate
- Lighting: 50–100 PAR (low to moderate, indirect)
- Flow: Low to moderate
- Placement: Lower rockwork or shaded ledges
- Feeding: Benefits from occasional meaty foods (mysis, reef pellets)
- Water parameters: Stable reef parameters (Ca 380-450, Alk 8-12 dKH, Mg 1250-1350)
