Built for reef hobbyists
Find, trade and sell aquarium coral through FRAG
FRAG connects reef keepers who have healthy, aquacultured coral with hobbyists looking for specific frags—without forcing anyone to publish private contact information.
One marketplace, three useful paths
Whether you are trying to find a particular coral, trade extra growth from your reef, or sell coral to a local fish store, FRAG gives you a clear place to start.

Browse demand from other reef keepers and look for the coral frags people are actively trying to find.

Good matches begin with clear information. FRAG is designed to help serious reef keepers evaluate coral before arranging the next step.
Describe the coral
Use the most accurate common or scientific identification you have. Include size, growth form and how long the frag has healed.
Add current photos
Show the actual coral under normal aquarium lighting. Honest color and visible health are more useful than heavy editing.
Choose the right route
Explore hobbyist demand, pursue a trade, or submit the coral directly to our store for review.
Trade with The Underwater Gardener
Have coral your reef has outgrown?
We review healthy aquarium coral from hobbyists and consider condition, identification, demand, size and our current inventory. A submission is a request for review—not an automatic offer or acceptance.
Submit coral for store review- Use recent photos of the actual coral.
- Disclose pests, disease or recent treatment.
- Explain whether you prefer cash or store credit.
- Wait for acceptance before shipping or transporting coral.
Questions reef keepers ask before selling coral
Where can I sell coral frags?
You can explore hobbyist-to-hobbyist opportunities through FRAG or submit coral directly to The Underwater Gardener for review. The best route depends on the coral, your location, shipping ability and whether you prefer cash, credit or a trade.
Can I sell coral to a local fish store?
Some local fish stores review healthy, aquacultured coral from established systems. Each store sets its own requirements and may decline coral because of condition, pests, demand or existing inventory. FRAG includes a direct submission route to The Underwater Gardener.
How much are coral frags worth?
Value depends on identification, health, healed size, coloration, growth rate, local demand and the cost and risk of resale. Store credit may differ from a direct private-sale price because a store must quarantine, condition and support the coral before resale.
Is it legal to sell aquarium coral?
Rules vary by species, source and location. Sellers are responsible for following applicable local, state, federal and shipping requirements. The Underwater Gardener is a Florida aquaculture facility operating under Florida Aquaculture Certificate #AQ0254072; that certificate does not replace a seller’s own obligations.
Responsible coral trading: Never collect wild coral for FRAG. Offer only coral you lawfully possess, represent it accurately and follow all applicable wildlife, aquaculture and carrier rules.
