No stony skeleton. A thick rubbery trunk supporting a capitulum with polyps across the surface, which retract and leave the coral looking deflated for days at a time. That shrinking is normal and usually precedes shedding a waxy layer, not dying. PAR 75–150, moderate to strong flow.
