The $10 Box & Handling Fee is charged per box, not per coral. It covers the insulated box, heat or ice packs and the time it takes to pack live coral safely. UPS Next Day Air is one flat livestock shipping charge per order, the carrier cost of getting it out of Key West alive. A box typically holds around five small frags, so adding compatible corals to the same shipment usually will not add another box fee or change the shipping charge. Larger colonies, species that cannot share water, or extreme weather can require a second box. Orders with $349 or more in qualifying livestock ship free.

Description

Anacropora Tropicana is a brightly colored branching SPS coral with delicate growth that becomes more pronounced under strong reef lighting. This is a retail trade name rather than a verified species designation.

Care Guide

Anacropora corals respond best to stable conditions, clean water, strong gas exchange, and turbulent flow that keeps their fine branches free of settled debris. Acclimate the frag to its final light level gradually and judge placement by polyp extension, coloration, and new growth rather than PAR alone.

Feeding

Primarily photosynthetic. Optional amino acids or very fine suspended foods may be offered sparingly. Avoid heavy feeding that raises nutrients or coats the coral.

Placement and Acclimation

Begin slightly below the intended position and move the frag upward over time. Maintain indirect, randomized circulation rather than a constant jet. Secure the plug so the growing branches cannot touch nearby corals.

What to Expect

Shipping and handling can temporarily reduce polyp extension. Give the coral stable conditions and time to settle before changing placement. Actual coloration depends on spectrum, intensity, nutrients, and acclimation.
