About Bleeding Apple Scolymia

The Bleeding Apple is one of the most iconic and recognizable named Scolymia morphs in the reef hobby — characterized by its vivid green base tissue contrasted against dramatic orange and red markings that appear to “bleed” across the polyp surface. Scolymia (Homophyllia australis) originates primarily from Australia and is among the most prized LPS corals in the world.

What makes Scolymia uniquely valuable is that they cannot be propagated. Each specimen is a single, irreplaceable individual polyp.
