About the Wilsoni Brain Coral (Australophyllia wilsoni)
The Wilsoni is one of the most sought-after LPS corals in the hobby. The Wilsoni is a hardy LPS coral once established, and thrives with stable parameters and regular feeding.
- Care Level: Intermediate
- Lighting: Low to moderate (50–100 PAR)
- Flow: Low to moderate — enough to keep tissue clean without tearing it
- Placement: Bottom third of the tank, on rubble or sand with room to expand
- Feeding: Meaty foods (mysis, brine, LPS pellets) 1–2 times weekly for best growth and color
- Aggression: Semi-aggressive — give space from neighboring corals
