Description

WYSIWYG Bounce Mushroom. You are buying the exact coral in the photo: one polyp, approximately 2 to 3 inches. The disc is covered in round, glossy bubbles, or “bounces,” in bright green. Tight bubbles run all the way around the edge, and the whole disc sits on a deep blue base. Color shifts a little depending on your lighting.

Bounce mushrooms are one of the most sought-after mushrooms in the hobby. That bubbly texture makes it stand out in any tank, even from across the room. Once it settles in, it stays where you put it, so you can plan your rockwork around it.

Lighting: Low to medium — PAR 50–120. Bounce mushrooms keep their bubbles best without intense light. Acclimate gradually after shipping.
Flow: Low to medium, indirect.
Placement: Lower to middle rockwork, shaded from the brightest light.
Compatibility: Peaceful; keep it from touching stony corals.
Feeding: Optional. It takes small meaty foods dropped on the disc.
