Description
You are buying the exact coral in the photo. This is a Banana Holy Grail Torch with long, full tentacles that sweep and curl in the current. Under blue spectrum reef lighting the tentacles are a bright banana yellow-green from base to tip, and each one ends in a soft lavender tip. The tentacles are long enough to drape over each other and fill out the whole frame, which is the look people want in a Holy Grail. Conditioned in our Key West systems and photographed in our showroom.
About Holy Grail Torch Coral (Euphyllia glabrescens)
Torch corals are LPS with long, flowing tentacles that move with every pulse of flow. Holy Grail is the top tier of torch, known for solid neon color with contrasting tips. Long-tentacle pieces with clean color like this one are the most sought after, because the tentacle length is what gives a torch its movement in the tank.
Care Guide
Moderate care. Torches reward stable water, moderate light and regular feeding with full extension and new heads.
- Lighting: Medium — PAR 100–200. Acclimate it to new lighting over a week or two.
- Flow: Medium — enough to keep the tentacles moving, never a direct jet.
- Placement: Mid rockwork, with plenty of open space around it.
- Feeding: Medium — small meaty foods like mysis or coral pellets once or twice a week.
- Aggression: High. Torches put out long sweeper tentacles that sting nearby corals, so give it at least 6 inches of space. It can sit next to other Euphyllia.
- Water Parameters: Temp 76–78°F, salinity 1.025–1.026, Alk 8–9 dKH, Ca 420–440, Mg 1300–1400. Stability matters more than exact numbers.
