Description
The Mummy Eye Chalice is one of the most recognizable and beloved named chalice morphs in the reef hobby. Our frags are cut from a stunning mother colony displaying a deep forest green base with brilliant neon yellow-green eyes and contrasting lavender and purple polyp centers — a color combination that truly comes alive under actinic and blue spectrum lighting.
Frags are approximately 1 inch and mounted on a frag plug, healed, and ready to ship.
Care Guide
Chalice corals are among the easiest LPS corals to keep and are well suited to beginner and advanced reefers alike.
- Lighting: Very Low to Low — PAR 30–100. Chalices prefer shaded or indirect light. Avoid placing directly under intense lighting.
- Flow: Low to Moderate — enough to keep the surface clean without blowing tissue against the skeleton.
- Placement: Bottom to mid-tank, ideally in a shaded area or under a ledge.
- Feeding: Not required but responds well to light target feeding with Reef-Roids or small meaty foods.
- Aggression: Moderate to High — chalice corals produce toxins and can damage neighboring corals. Maintain at least 4–6″ of space from other corals.
- Water Parameters: Temp 76–80°F | Salinity 1.025–1.026 | dKH 8–10 | Ca 400–450 | Mg 1250–1350
