Description

Burning Banana Stylo is a branching Stylophora strain selected for contrasting warm and fluorescent coloration. The retail name identifies the aquarium strain rather than a verified species designation.

Care Guide

Stylophora corals respond best to stable reef conditions, clean water, and consistent randomized circulation. Acclimate this coral gradually and use tissue condition, polyp response, coloration, and new growth to refine its final position.

Lighting: Medium — PAR 100–200

Flow: Medium

Water Parameters: Salinity 1.025–1.026 · Temperature 76–78°F · Alkalinity 8–9 dKH · Calcium 420–440 ppm · Magnesium 1300–1400 ppm

Feeding

Primarily photosynthetic. Optional amino acids or very fine suspended foods may be offered sparingly. Avoid heavy feeding that raises nutrients or coats the coral.

Acclimation

Begin below the intended final light exposure and increase intensity gradually. Provide indirect, variable circulation rather than a constant jet. This listing omits a fixed placement recommendation because the source guidance conflicts; observe the coral and adjust conservatively.

What to Expect

Shipping and handling can temporarily reduce polyp extension. Give the coral stable conditions and time to settle before changing placement. Actual coloration depends on spectrum, intensity, nutrients, and acclimation.
