Description

The Red Sea REEFER MAX Peninsula S-700 G3 takes the same G3 chassis and adds Red Sea’s full REEF-SPEC equipment package on top, so the system runs on day one instead of waiting on separately ordered filtration and lighting. Its display holds 150 gallons, the sump holds 36, and the whole system carries 186.2 gallons of water on a 59.4 by 26.8 inch footprint.

This is a peninsula build, so the glass is finished on three sides and the overflow and plumbing are carried at one end. It is meant to come off a wall or divide a room, not to sit flat against drywall.

Volumes are the manufacturer’s figures for the system as built. Actual water volume in your room will be lower once rock and sand go in. Total height is measured to the top of the tank with it standing on its cabinet, so measure your ceiling and any shelf above the tank before you order.

Will it fit, and is it the right size for you

The deep-water peninsula. Five feet by 26.8 inches, 25.6 inches of tank height, 150 gallons in the display and 65 inches to the top of the system. Three-sided viewing on a tank this deep is genuinely different to look at, and it is also the hardest kind of reef to aquascape well, because there is no back wall to hide behind.
