Description

Full Moon Leptastrea has bright green polyp centers scattered across a dark encrusting base, like a sky full of little moons. That contrast is the whole show. Color shifts some with lighting, so it may look a little different in your tank than it does in the photo.

Reefers like Leptastrea because it is an encrusting LPS. It spreads across rock as a low mat instead of growing up and out. Once it settles in, it is a hardy coral, and it does a great job covering bare rockwork and tying a scape together.

Care Guide

Lighting: Medium — PAR 100–200. Acclimate gradually after shipping.
Flow: Medium, indirect.
Placement: Middle rockwork where it has room to encrust outward.
Compatibility: Can sting nearby corals at night with short sweeper tentacles; leave a little space.
Feeding: Optional. It accepts small meaty foods when polyps are extended at night.

Conditioned in our Key West systems.
