Packing and shipping are charged per box, not per coral. The $10 packing fee covers the insulated box, heat or ice packs and the time it takes to pack live coral safely; overnight UPS is the carrier cost of getting it out of Key West alive. A box typically holds around five small frags, so adding compatible corals to the same shipment usually will not add another packing or shipping charge. Larger colonies, species that cannot share water, or extreme weather can require a second box. Orders with $349 or more in qualifying livestock ship free.

Description

Nassarius snails live under the sand and come up when there is something to eat. Drop food in and you will see a dozen siphons come out of the bed at once, which is half the reason people keep them.

They work leftover food and detritus, not algae. If you want the glass cleaned, that is a job for astreas. If you want the sand kept turned and nothing rotting under it, this is the animal.

Plan on roughly one per two gallons of sand bed. They need actual sand to burrow in, so they are not much use in a bare bottom tank.
