Waterbox

A Waterbox is a rimless tank with a cabinet built for it and an overflow already designed. What you are choosing between is footprint and filtration style, not glass quality.

The tanks split three ways. AIO models run everything in rear chambers and need no sump or stand plumbing, which is why they are what we put most first reef tanks on. The REEF, INFINIA and MARINE lines are sumped systems with a proper overflow. CLEAR and EDEN sit on the freshwater and planted side.

The rest of this page is what goes around them. Filter socks and media, LifeRock and Arag-Alive substrates, Super Naturals aquascapes and soils, chemistry, and accessories cut to the model rather than trimmed to fit it.

Two things are worth settling before you pick a size, and neither is really a Waterbox question. Where the sump is going to live, and whether a person can still reach the back of the tank once it is against a wall. Those are the two that decide whether you like the tank a year from now.
