Description
The VorTech MP40mQD steps up to EcoTech Marine’s mid-size propeller pump platform, delivering strong, wide-sweeping flow for medium reef tanks without the bulky in-tank hardware of traditional powerheads. The wet side and dry side couple magnetically through the aquarium glass, so there’s no wiring inside the display — just the pump head suction-cupped in place and the controller mounted externally.
QuietDrive technology keeps operation virtually silent, and the mQD designation means this unit is Mobius-ready out of the box, letting you program flow patterns, feed pauses, and sync multiple pumps together wirelessly from EcoTech’s free app.

– Compatible glass/acrylic thickness: up to 3/4″
– Control: Mobius app (iOS/Android) or on-unit dial
– Mounting: magnetic, no drilling required

Shipping & Returns
- Equipment and dry goods ship at their own rate. Free shipping at $349 or more applies to qualifying livestock only — corals, fish, inverts and live copepods. The $10 box & handling fee is a livestock packing fee and does not apply to dry-goods orders.
- All sales are final on equipment and dry goods. We are a retail store, not the manufacturer.
- Register your product with the manufacturer and keep your receipt — their warranty is how a faulty unit gets replaced, and they are faster at it than a shop could be.
- Not sure who to contact for a warranty claim? Call us and we will point you to the right place.
