AlgaGen

AlgaGen is live and refrigerated, and that is the whole reason to care about it. A paste or a live culture feeds animals that will not touch a pellet: filter feeders, non-photosynthetic corals, larval fish, and the pod population that keeps a mandarin alive.

What is here: Bio-actiV plankton, Zoo-Plasm rotifer paste, and Decap’d brine shrimp in sizes from a small bottle to a liter.

Two things decide whether this works. Keep it cold. These products are refrigerated, and a bottle left on a warm shelf is a bottle of waste. And dose small and often rather than large and occasionally, because most of what you add that is not eaten within a few hours becomes nutrient rather than food.

If you are feeding a specific animal, tell us which one. The right product for a mandarin is not the right product for a sun coral, and buying the wrong one is a slow way to lose either.
